The Deal (Book 1)

Romance Tropes Included: Fake Dating, Friends To Lovers, Tutor / Student
Book Summary: Get ready for a steamy, mutually beneficial arrangement that will leave you breathless! When Hannah finally finds someone in college who turns her on, she’s willing to try everything to get his attention. Even if it means tutoring the cocky, annoying captain of the hockey team in exchange for a fake date.
Garrett is also willing to do anything necessary to keep his dreams of playing professional hockey alive, so he accepts the arrangement. However, a kiss that leads to wildly satisfying…so much more… has him rethinking how much he wants to help Hannah seek out some other guy.
My Review: There’s no denying this series starts off on a high note!! It doesn’t get much cuter than Wellsy and Garrett. Although the romance gets deliciously spicy, I truly fell in love with what started as friendship for these two! Their gradual journey toward understanding and trusting each other was oh so satisfying.
The Mistake (Book 2)

Romance Tropes Included: Second Chance, No Third Act Breakup
Book Summary: When John Logan, hockey legend, appears at her door, freshman Grace is at a loss for words. He’s clearly in the wrong place, but they connect over action movies and she ends up almost sleeping with him before he bolts. When John can’t seem to get her out of his head, he decides he’ll do anything she asks to win her over.
My Review: It’s easy to align with Goodreads on my rating here. The Mistake felt a little more juvenile than the first book, probably since we meet Grace as a freshman trying to navigate college and friendships/boys. The second half of the book was much more engaging and I loved reading about how John stepped up and fought for Grace.
The Score (Book 3)

Romance Tropes Included: Rebound, Reformed Playboy
Book Summary: Dean has floated through his college career enjoying the spoils of being a star hockey player – parties, women, hanging with his friends. He’s known for his constant hookups and hasn’t found anyone who’s tempted him longer than a night or two.
Enter Allie. She definitely did not need a one-night stand to solve her looming problems and makes it clear to Dean that she wants nothing more from him. However, Dean needs more from her, a feeling he’s not familiar with…
My Thoughts: Dean certainly wasn’t my favorite side character from the previous books, but I enjoyed getting to know him better in The Score. Allie was a fantastic character and her devotion to Dean was moving.
The Goal (Book 4)

Romance Tropes Included: Surprise Pregnancy
Book Summary: A few characters from the previous books find their way to each other in The Goal. Sabrina doesn’t get the greatest endorsement from Dean previously, but readers discover she’s a driven woman desperate to make a better life for herself than the one she’s got at home.
She’s got no time in her plan for anything more than a one-night stand, which is exactly what she expects when she hooks up with John Tucker in the back of his truck. However, Tucker is hooked and he sets out on a mission to break down her walls. A life-changing moment throws all of Sabrina’s plans out of whack, but Tucker is ready to prove he’s got her back.
My Thoughts: I’m not normally a fan of the surprise pregnancy trope, so my thoughts are admittedly a little biased based on that. Tucker’s southern charm and cockiness also got a bit old after a while. Clearly, these two didn’t have my favorite story but I can see why others would enjoy it!
The Legacy (Book 5)
My Star Rating: TBD Goodreads Rating: 3.79
Book Summary: The Legacy is a collection of 4 novellas featuring each of the couples from the earlier books in this series. The novellas pick up their stories pretty much right away, now that they’re out of college and dealing with real world adult problems and situations.
My Thoughts: This is the only book I haven’t had a chance to read yet, but I wanted to include it for those who are interested in essentially a novel length epilogue!

Off Campus Series – Final Thoughts
I highly recommend this series for both anyone new to the sports romance genre and long time fans. Although these take place primarily in the college years, most of the relationships feel more adult and the writing is fantastic.
